In this review I’ll be looking at Coloured Raine pressed eyeshadow singles in the shades Vintage, Secrets, and Date Night.
This eye look was created with Vintage all over the lid, Secrets in the crease, and Date Night in the inner and outer corner. St. Germain Cocktail (covered in Coloured Raine Eyeshadow Singles Review Part 1) was used as a center of the lid highlight. All eyeshadows were applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden. Also used was Tarte Maneater mascara.
Coloured Raine Vintage is a satin pressed eyeshadow in a 26 mm pan that sells for $6.99USD on Coloured Raine’s website. The color is a warm shimmery medium brown with a slight red tone.
Vintage, being a satin formula, did not have that almost creamy consistency that Coloured Raine foiled shadows had, but it was still pigmented and applied evenly. I will say that the pigmentation was not as great as the foiled shadows, and there was a little fallout during application. While it was capable of covering some darker shades, it took multiple layers to do so. With primer, this shadow lasted about 11 hours.
While it can achieve decent opacity, it had less pigmentation than other Coloured Raine shades and some fallout
Coloured Raine Secrets is a a foiled pressed eyeshadow in a 26 mm pan that sells for $6.99USD on Coloured Raine’s website. The color is a warm brown with a more subtle shimmery than some of the other Coloured Raine foiled shadows.
I found this shadow to be less smooth and creamy than the other shimmery Coloured Raine shadows that I tried. It applied fine but didn’t quite have the evenness of application as the other shadows. Additionally, I did get some hard pan on it and some fallout. With primer, this shadow lasted me about 12 hours.
While it had good pigmentation, it didn’t apply quite as smoothly as other shades and got some hard pan
Coloured Raine Date Night is a a foiled pressed eyeshadow in a 26 mm pan that sells for $6.99USD on Coloured Raine’s website. The color is a shimmery warm red-purple. This color is quite similar to Passion (covered in Coloured Raine Eyeshadow Singles Review Part 2) but is more purple.
This shadow has the smooth, creamy texture of other Coloured Raine foiled eyeshadows. It applied smoothly and evenly with good pigmentation; I only needed a little of it to get good coverage. The smooth, creamy consistency of this shadow also let it blend well with other shadows and minimized fallout. With primer, I was able to get about 12 hours of wear.
Excellent pigmentation, smooth application, and little to no fallout
